A reported 70 workers at Fisher-Price in East Aurora learned Thursday morning that the company will be cutting their jobs. Fisher-Price, which began in East Aurora in 1930 and has its world headquarters in the village, is making the layoffs as part of a move by Mattel, its parent company. Mattel plans to eliminate around 1,000 jobs worldwide, three percent of its total workforce.
